Status message: My worldwide sending status says: "I will send SMALL and HARD TO FIND books to anywhere, but ask me first. This does not mean that I can afford to send YOU a gazillion of big, heavy, hardcover books to anywhere in the world. Sending to the US costs me an arm and a leg. I might be willing to do that, IF -and only if- you stay reasonable and do not request a dozen books at once, but just that one book which was on your wishlist for ages... ASK FOR ONE So if you ask me for ONE (1) book to be send to a foreign country, I will be inclined to accept, even though sending a book for over 5€ (or 11€ with heavier books) per book is a luxury which will keep me from buying books or other luxuries (or near-necessities) for myself. BOOKCROSSING on Bookmooch On BookCrossing it is considered polite to at least offer the postage if you request a book for keeping it yourself. Here, where many bookcrossing books are exchanged, people expect you to send books at your own expense. I'm willing to do that domestically on a regular basis and in bulk, but for other countries: please be reasonable and ask for one book only. And please make a journal entry on bookcrossing when you receive a book from me. SENDING TIME Sending to the US means a standard delivery time of 30-40 days, plus the incalculable time for the Department of Homeland Security (which should be disbanded) to inpect and hold for inspection any parcel over 500grams. So please be VERY patient.
