That mischievous cat! As soon as Cleo is finished winking, blinking, and yawning after a catnap, she's off slipping and sliding, skipping and hopping, chasing and pouncing. The open window invites her outside, where butterflies beckon and trees wave tantalizingly. Still, the call of a loved one is always louder than the call of the wild for ex-stray Cleo, and she is perfectly content to be scooped up for some kisses.

This second title in the series by illustrator Caroline Mockford and author Stella Blackstone (Cleo the Cat) continues to chronicle the simple pleasures of a charming triangular-headed kitty. Very small children will adore the quiet, rhyming adventures and Mockford's vibrant acrylic illustrations of orange-striped Cleo in her crayon-bright natural playground.
