Moocher doesn't provide last name

Just curious what other people do in this situation. I accepted a mooch from someone only to see when I was packing up the book for shipment that they only provided an initial, not a last name. I emailed (twice) and asked for a full name for shipping purposes, since the few times I've shipped to a partial name like this, the book has always gone "lost". Does anyone else run into this situation, and what do you do? I don't want this book to fall out of circ in BM, and am leaning towards just cancelling the mooch, but would like to hear thoughts... Thanks!

I think it is for privacy purposes. I would just send it because I have not had the experience of things going missing with just an initial. There is no guarantee that any book you send will be posted back to BM.

I agree. You should just mail it, and hope for the best. You might also let the tech support people know about this account (click the abuse button on their bio page) as I suspect this is against the TOS of the site.

I only have my last initial on my Bookmooch account and have never had problems receiving books. I've never read anything about it being against the TOS, and it's certainly not against USPS policy either (even if some postal clerks will tell you so). As long as the book gets to the recipient, the recipient could be Darth Vader for all I care.

I only have my last initial on my Bookmooch account, and have never had problems receiving books either. The only time I need to use it is when I mooch books from Overseas or Canada.
