The booklet is saddle-stitched (well, actually stapled) and is in really good condition for being forty-plus years old. It has a price list at the back with 1970 prices and has drawings for each kind of canning jars. The system is really nifty: each has a front view and below it, a view of the bottom with any markings. That way you can know if it is round, oval or square and identify things easily. It includes a brief history of canning jars (from 1850) and shows examples from 1845 onwards. BTW, I don't know why the publication date here has 1970/1. I couldn't find a way to delete the "/1". It is clearly 1970. |
