Product Description
The coming-of-age of a young girl during World War II. She was born to a wealthy doctor, then she and her family were rounded up and imprisoned in the Warsaw Ghetto to live a disease-ridden, hand-to-mouth existence, always in the presence of death. The family then escaped to the "Aryan" side where they had to slip from one safe-house to another, in constant fear of discovery and under the constant threat of blackmail. 195 pages; 8 pages of b&w photos; 6.5 x 9.5 inches.

mel (USA: VT) (2007/05/17): Great book. Easy to read, flowing style of writting. Tells the story of being a teenager girl in the Warsaw Ghetto durning WW II. It's a told in the first person, and is the story of the author's life as she remembers it.
