Well, I'm still reading John Jakes : Homeland I'm over 300 pages into it. The boy Pauli came to America from Germany, and now lives with his rich Uncle. His Uncle owns a brewery, and the workers are staging protests and want to start a Union. Pauli doesn't want to take sides, because he sympathizes with his coworkers, but also doesn't want to oppose his Uncle. He is also in love with a rich girl, but her parents don't like him or his family, so they must meet in secret. I am just really enjoying this book!!!!
