I'm new and was wondering how long is typical here for people to take before acknowledging book requests, on way or the other? I can see that they have been on the site, but no answer. I understand a lot of people only ship once or twice a month, is it typical to not acknowledge a request til ready to mail the books? Just trying to learn the ropes here. :) Thanks!
I acknowledge within a day or two and that is what I usually see from people I mooch from as well. The thing is, if someone doesn't acknowledge the request after 7 days, when you cancel it, you can put them on vacation. This really bothers some people, but most understand. A week without an acceptance can be annoying when the sender doesn't have any mailing deadline.
