Thank you for the welcome. I do have a question and appreciate your taking time to answer it. As I'm posting books, I see that several of them are tagged as being on "several wishlists" -- but I have not received any requests (and it's been several days). With PBS, the system was automated -- any book designated on a Wishlist was immediately put on "hold" and the Request came in within a few hours. This is not a critical comment, it is merely a description of the system/procedure I know about. Can you tell me how does it works here? Did I miss something?

Its up to the person who has it on their wish list to mooch. Some of the people on here are not active so they may not mooch it. If you go to their name it will show you when they were last on the site. If it has been a while it will probably not get mooched. I do believe the site does send an email to those who have it on their wish list. Its up to them to mooch the book then. Not quite as automatic as other site.

I noticed someone has a book on my inventory on their wish list. Should I email them directly if I don't hear from them within a week? I just started shipping books to fellow moochers today after joining yesterday.

Leslie, I wouldn't bother emailing them if they don't mooch it, sometimes, for various reasons, people choose not to mooch wishlisted books.

I've tried for 2 months and 10 days to get a book from someone and the thing is--she has repeatedly replied to me that she will send it, yada yada and it never happens, so I go in to her account to see how long it's been since she's been here, one time it had been 3 days but she still didn't send the book, I looked at her feedback and was amazed to see the negative responses--so I think when a member does this kind of thing they should be blocked from this site! This was a book I wanted for a young family member and it is a disappointment to me not to get it, oh well, live and learn but just remember not all members are honest. It would be better for there to be a time out on the amount of time(like PBS and BFS) that a member has for responding!

Have you reported the member? If not, there will be a report abuse button on their member bio page.

If you cancel a mooch, it should ask you if you want to put the book back on your wishlist, so you can do it all at once. However, if the sender cancels the mooch, it does NOT put the book back on your wishlist. Either way, be sure to check your WL after cancelling the mooch to ensure it is added.
