Book received is different from book requested
Hello! I've requested a book (Mankell novel) and the other user marked it as sent but when I received it (some weeks later) what I got is a completely different book (SOS Tata!!!). I've wrote to the sender informing of the mistake but didn't receive a reply in one week (while before she was very quick in replying). I've seen that after my message her account is now marked as "on vacation". I cannot mark the book as received because it's not the book I asked for. How do I behave in this case? Thanks.

Don't mark it received, like you said. After six weeks (for a domestic mooch), if she still has not contacted you about the book, I would mark it lost. As for her being on vacation, someone did cancel an order from her last week and it had been more than 7 days since the order. If they picked "the owner did not respond" as the reason, then her account was automatically put on vacation. She will still get emails from bookmooch while on vacation.

If she responded quickly before, and her account is now marked "vacation", just give her a bit of time? Maybe she simply put the wrong book in your parcel and is now away from home, and everything will clear up on her return. If things don't resolve: I would mark as not received, and offer the other book (the one you didn't want) in your own inventory.

Development of the case. I was finally contacted by the user. She explained that being in a hurry she sent the wrong book. To solve the problem I agreed that she would send the correct book (Mankell) and I would request from her list the wrong book that she had already sent (SOS Tata). We did so but after one month I didn't receive the book of Mankell, however she solicitated me to mark as received the other book. This morning she marked in Bookmooch that the book of Mankell has been lost during the postal trip... I have received other books from other users in this period and had no postal problems... How can she know that the book has been lost? It's a possibility (rare, I have to say) but I have to admit that any suspicion is reasonable... At least this book of Mankell is really unlucky!!! Currently I marked as received the other book but with a negative feedback and offered the book in my inventory.
