Question about missing book

Hello there,

i have a small question. Back in February I requested a book (The Yiddish police man) from a memeber in Israel (I'm living in Germany). He accepted and some time later, I got the message that the book was on it's way.

In mid-July I still hadn't received the book, so I clicked the "lost" button. I expected to get my 3 points back, but in my "member home" it just says: "I requested this book, sender says they sent it, but I never acknowledged receiving it"

I got another book from Israel some time ago, so maybe I just was unlucky with this one and the book waslost. I mailed the sender and asked him, if the package came back, but never received an answer.

So what can I do now? Is there a possibility too get my points back?

I would write the tech support people ( http://bookmooch.com/m/email_us ) to ask them.

It is possible that before you had a chance to mark it lost, the sender "forced" a receive (which is also an option which appears after sufficient time has passed). With the problems with the Bookmooch emails, you may not have gotten a notification that the book had been forced received.

Hallo again.

Today I reviewed the aforementioned lost book. On the side of the guy I should have gotten it from it reads behind the book: (received_forced)

What does this mean? Still didn't get my points back or an answer to my mails.

Best wishes to you all

Since you didn't mark the book "lost" apparently the sender forced it received, which means you won't be able to get your points back. I would recommend going to the profile page of the sender and clicking the "abuse" button and explain to tech support what happened (that you didn't receive the book, that you tried to email the sender but got no response and the sender marked the book "forced received"). They may be able to help you.
