Mooched books arrived after cancelling request
I mooched 4 books from the same person and after over a week of them not accepting the mooch request so I cancelled the request, today the books showed up. How do I give her credit for the books and get my points deducted.

The other option is to contact the sender and ask them to post the books in her inventory again. You mooch them again and then mark them received.

ok, I sent books out to a person on July 31st, she was given notice that they were at the Post office and then I tracked them so she got them on August 5th, at 11:47 p.m. she has NOT said she has received them, there they sit waiting to be told they were received. I have sent 2 e-mails that she has not acknowledged receiving the e-mails or the books, they are the last 3 books I have sent, I am putting my account on vacation for a while and want to do it before the end of sept. judymo any answers. because I don't have any

Also, remember that it is summer and she may be away. The books could be waiting for her at home or at the post office.

If you put the information in your status message (the box to change it is beneath the box where for your bio when altering your profile)it shows up on that page . I hope that helps.

This is in reply to Pat's question under the replies and not the original question. I think you should put 2 for 1 offers in the book condition box because that comes up on the mooch page when someone is requesting one of your books. I personally forget to look at the other books on the person's inventory when I mooch.

I have been a member for years and have really enjoyed Bookmooch. That was until I accepted a mooch from someone who asked for several books that I mailed out (expensive new hardbacks), and they did not respond to my e-mails, etc.....total nightmare transaction, and guess what....she did not receive the books at all???? I mailed out to 3 other members that day and they all received theirs. I read her bio, and of course this is not the first books that have been lost after being sent to her. (37) previous books have been lost. some kind of scam, and I got caught up in it. I want to warn everybody NOT to mooch from this person......what can I do???

Mel, looking at the member's profile she has done a lot of mooches and I don't think the number of mooches lost is disproportionately high in that context, per number of books mooched it's at a similar level to mine.
