Reserving book in inventory
I can reserve a book for another moocher when I enter the book in my inventory, but don't seem to be able to reserve a book that's already in my inventory. Why not? Or have I missed/misunderstood some functionality? Jacquie

Does it let you get a certain way along the process or is there no reserve button showing up when you look at the book? I've just looked at the books in my inventory and I've clicked on a couple of them and the reserve button does come up and it lets me click on the reserve button as normal but I haven't actually tried to reserve them for anyone . I think the button is in a different place to when you add a book ( although I'm not completely sure)so if you can't find the button that may be why.

The reserve button should be on the book details page.

Well it's not just you, I can see it in your inventory but when I click on it or do a search it doesn't come up with you having a copy. The only thing I can think of to try is to remove the book and relist it. Did you add by ISBN? There is another edition : Roberts : Calhoun Women: Catherine And Amanda (The Calhoun Women) that you could try listing it under if relisting under the original one doesn't work.

That is really weird. I would suggest removing it and relisting it (and you can reserve it at that time as well). Must be some kind of glitch. Strange.

Thanks everyone for help and advice. I've removed the book, re-entered it and reserved it. That makes a book down from my moocher's wishlist!

I have been expanding on my wishlist and with a few books, I have come across "No book data was found for that ASIN", so I can't add the book. There are no other related editions for this book so is there a work around or a way to report this to tech support? Thanks, Cher

This is a "supported feature" that's a real pain. I've had books that I've mooched that aren't recognised - so how did I get them in the first place? Here are some suggestions: 1. ask BM look at other Amazon databases, .com, .ca, .co.uk - for some reason there doesn't seem to be one reliable worldwide feed. 2. go directly to Amazon and look up the book, then copy the ISBN to BM; sometimes longer ISBN will work.Jacquie

Have you tried searching by title instead of ASIN?
