Hi! I had a problem with an user. I sent her two books (quite heavy, so the shipping was very expensive compared with others packages I use to mail), around eight months ago. I know she has received them, but I didn't get any confirmation from her account. I have sent her several reminder e-mails, for getting my points, but I obtained no answer. What should I do in this case? I would really appreciate if someone knows. I think this kind of behaviour damages initiatives like BookMooch, which works due to its users' reciprocity. Thanks, guys!

I am confused as I do not see two books in your pending which have been marked "sent" from two months ago. It is very important to mark books sent as soon you have mailed them. If you don't the moocher can cancel the mooch and you will lose the points, even if you have already mailed the books. Once they have both been marked sent, after a few weeks you can then click the "remind" button. Six weeks later a "forced received" button while appear which will allow you to mark the books as received. If the other member mooched the books from you, you have already received the points. What you do not have is the feedback score. If, however, you mailed the books to them without them having mooched them from you, there is very little that can be done about the situation.

Hi, Cara, thanks for answering me.
I think the problem has been solved. I sent her an e-mail directly to her (not to her BookMooch account), and she has finally changed the status of the books.
I can't send books regularly because I study abroad, so every time I receive a request I notify the other person when I could send them and if it fits to her/him, so normally any issue like this one had happened. I guess that she simply had forgotten. Thanks again!

I don't understand if you can send them, why you can't mark them as sent. It is not a very good idea to send books without marking them sent since the moocher can change their mind (or decide the books are taking to long) and cancel the mooch so you lose the points. You can delay books and mark them sent when you mail them. If the moocher doesn't mind the delay from you being out of the country there is no problem. I am glad the your problem was resolved. That was a good idea emailing outside of Bookmooch, I should have suggested it! That is often the problem.
