CHRISTIAN NOVELS/ROMANCE BOOKS
I'm an avid reader & have had 50+ books mooched from me in the past week or two (I'm a newbie at this site). I have all these credits & am having difficulty finding books I'm interested in. Obviously there is "a call" for my style of books or else I would not have had 54 books mooched in 2-days! Anyway, please encourage people/friends/neighbors to join BookMooch if you know they have Christian Novels/Romance books they would like to get rid of!!! Elaine 1/18/2013

Hi Elaine and Welcome! Have you tried browsing the inventories of those who have mooched books from you? Since they are interested in your books, it follows that you might find something you would like to read that they have available. It sometimes takes time to learn how best to use Bookmooch, but I hope you continue to look around for members who share your interests.

Kerry: Yes, I do that...........I've been using PaperBackSwap for a few months & they have many of the books I like, but I decided to try your website.........I've had great success having my books "mooched" (about 60 now in the past 2-weeks), but not so much with finding books I would like to get. I've been looking up book lists on "authors' websites" so that I can expand my searching...........hopefully it will pan out sooner than later. At least I'm not far down on the "wish lists"......keepin' my fingers crossed! Thanks for your suggestion.....that was one of the first things I did! Elaine 1/18/13

Your position on the wishlists has no bearing on when you get the book. When a book becomes available an email is sent randomly to a member who has that book on their wishlist. If, after a period of a few hours, the book hasn't been mooched an email goes out to another member. And so it goes on until the book is requested. Most people find their books by regularly checking their wishlist not by relying on notification emails.

As Donna says, the good thing about Bookmooch is that there's no FIFO waitlist like there is on PBS, so you can get lucky and snag a book right away. The bad thing is that it's hard to get the books that one wants sometimes, because everyone else can grab them as well as soon as they're posted. PBS and BM are different and each has their good and bad points. If you are concerned about recouping your points, and I understand why you would be, I would hold off on listing any more books until you get a feel for how PBS runs these days, and how many of the kind of books you want get posted.

I have increased my rate of mooching since I changed the display options on my wishlist so that moochable are at the top. I am just more likely to visit the first page and so I immediately see moochables.
