Ebook Readers?
Is there any interest in lending eBooks on BookMooch? I have several Kindle eBooks that I am able and willing to lend. According to Amazon, I can send these titles for a period of 14 days to anyone with an email address. The eBooks can be read on a Kindle or a device that has a Kindle application (you can download it for free). I can only loan the titles once, and not all my books are eligible for lending, but I'm willing to share. I don't care about points or anything like that. It would help save on postage, especially for international members. I thought it couldn't hurt to suggest a place on BookMooch to swap eBooks. Thanks for hearing me out. ~Bethany

If I'm not mistaken, you can't lend e-books on Bookmooch.

Ahh, this is true, but you could still have a forum on here if you like, why not? Just an interpersonal lend. You could do the same on a social website like goodreads much more easily I imagine though--there are groups on that site devoted to just this.

A forum was more what I was thinking. Thank you for suggesting it. I can understand not swapping .pdf or files like that, as it would get into piracy issues, but if it was all legal and aboveboard, then I don't think it should be a problem.

I would participate in a forum like that. I've lent and borrowed a few things from the website Lendle, which is sort of like BM for kindle editions, but it's not a terribly popular site so I don't get requests/borrowing opportunities very often. Alternatively, I think there's a way on Lendle to friend each other and perhaps we could create a bookmooch group?
