Italy has been one of the fastest growing countries using BookMooch lately.

Unfortunately for them, until today, I haven't had access to a good database of Italian books, to help them quickly enter books as well as to have access to book covers and reviews.

As of today, amazon.it is now integrated into BookMooch (they just enabled their database a few days ago), so that you can now search for books inside BookMooch using the book database from amazon.it.

Of course, you can also use BookMooch completely in italian if you visit it.bookmooch.com.

You can permanently set amazon.it as your preferred database by going to your wishlist settings

I'm really pleased to be able to offer this to our fellow moochers in Italy!

ps: be on the lookout for problems with searching for books from all the Amazon sites. I had to change a bunch of programming to support Amazon.it, as Amazon updated their "programming API" as part of rolling out their Italian site.

Ok, now I reopened my inventory page and the books that I re-inserted using Amazon.it do note have the link to the Amazon page, and the cover is not visible even though it exists in their database. Is this some temporary problem?

Books that were previously hand-entered into BM (ie http://bookmooch.com/m/add_manually) won't get new data fetched from Amazon.

So, for example, this book you (or someone else in Italy) hand entered:
Stefano Bianchini : LA QUESTIONE JUGOSLAVA

doesn't have a cover, while the Amazon.it site DOES have a cover for it:
http://bookmooch.com/m/a/amazon.it/8809013786

Not to worry, though, this isn't a permanent problem, as I'm working on a more wide-ranging solution to the "missing covers" problem, by using multiple sources for book covers. I hope that in a few months, a lot more books at BM will have covers displayed.

I do not know if this is the right place to ask my question.
When looking at the recently listed books, one sees a number of
# signs.
Some are clear to me, others are not. Often a book shows #nfct, and many times it is not non-fiction at all. Since I prefer non-fiction, this can be a bit disappointing.

But what I really would like to see is whether the book will be sent only in its own country or not. Is it possible to add such a sign?? It would save a lot of frustration (and many clicks) I think for many moochers. I know it is a bit annoying to click on a new listing which seems interesting, and then it is unavailable because I do not live in the book's country.

I can imagine that you have a lot of work and probably some headaches too, managing this great site. But if it is possible, I am sure many moochers will be grateful!
