Status message:
I try to be as accurate as possible about the condition of the books on my inventory when I list them and I will answer questions about condition, edition etc before you mooch them. Generally my books will be secondhand but in fair to good condition from a pet free, smoke free house. For the sake of the planet and my pocket, I use recycled packaging material to send books but always make sure the book is padded and firmly packaged. When I add books to my wishlist, I just choose a paperback edition, but I am interested in any paperback, it doesn't have to be the same one shown on the list.

Bio:
I'm an avid reader (of course). I mainly read literary fiction and fiction from all over the world. I also like legends and folk tales, particularly the Icelandic sagas, anything connected with the Italian Renaissance, and classic Russian fiction. I've had 5 short stories published and I'm a member of LibraryThing.

I collected the Man Booker prize winners and the Miles Franklin winners (Australia's national literary prize), but now only collect the Miles Franklins http://www.middlemiss.org/lit/prizes/milesfkn.html. With apologies to the rest of the english speaking world, I've read one too many disappointing Bookers and decided that the Miles Franklin winners are consistently better quality, so I've placed all the ones I don't have on my wishlist. I'm happy to give recommendations for Australian fiction to read, or selections from the Man Booker list. Happy reading moochers!
