Status message:
Please check the condition notes first! Most of my books are in excellent condition, but the notes contain other useful information:

- If the note says "Small enough to send abroad.", you may mooch the book even outside Finland without asking me first. If it doesn't, I might have just forgotten to fill it in, so feel free to ask me, but please ask before you mooch. As a general rule, if I can send it as a letter, I'm willing to send it anywhere. (People living in Finland can of course mooch anything without asking first.)

- I keep some of the books listed in a house in an another town, so there will a delay of 1-5 weeks before I can send those books. This too is indicated in the note.

Status message:
In condition notes I use 'slight' to describe problems I only noticed on close inspection, and 'wrinkle' to describe a crease that hasn't broken the surface yet.

I have a non-smoking household. I have a cat who likes to sleep in the bookcase behind the books. I generally don't know where my books have been, since I've bought many of them from used book stores.

I send the books in envelopes with bubblewrap lining. I may re-use packaging I received if it is equally sturdy.

I will send international packages by 'Economy' mail, which will take 8-16 business days to most countries.

If you're mooching from within the EU, and you're eager to get the book quickly, I will send by 'Priority' mail if you ask for it in the mooch request. That will take 3-4 business days according to the post office.

Bio:
I started using Bookmooch in the hopes of clearing some shelf space. Obviously, that didn't work -- visiting book-related sites just made me aware of all the books I don't have yet. I'm now on LibraryThing too, happily cataloguing all my books.

I once bought a box full of 'Getting Things Done' books to give away. It's such a life-changing book that I think that everyone who wants to read it should have a copy. I still have a few copies left. Ask me if you'd like me to list one and reserve it for you.

Bio:
Non-smoking household, no pets. I'm willing to send books worldwide, but when mailing abroad I will use economy mail, which is slower (eg. up to one month to the US).

Non-smoking household, no pets.

I don't live conveniently next-door to a post office, but will try to send books soon after they're mooched. To be honest, I can be a bit slow with sending books, as I always seem to get distracted by work and other obligations, but I do eventually send all books I've promised to send. Like in a few weeks, a few months tops. :)

I reserve the right to reject a mooch from a moocher from whom I in turn could not mooch, i.e. based on geographical restrictions, but I'm open to negotiations. :) E-mail me and we'll see if we can sort it out.

Bio:
Lawyer & bookaholic. I try to put anything out of the ordinary about the books in the condition notes, but feel free to ask about a particular book, if you like. All books are in at least a decent condition. If some book is read only once or has never been read at all I make a note of that too, so you know to expect a book with a newer feel to it.
