Laura (USA: IL) (2009/07/15): Well written, of course, by the lifegiver to robot lore, I. Asimov. It's a strange world he's conjured up, where in the future people live (and act) like hutch rabbits with highly structured lives, more like the robots they fear and despise than they know. Anyhoo, the story concerns the murder of a member of the robot-making "spacemen", who have great influence over earth politics. The mystery portion is interesting enough, because the prejudiced but competent detective on the case is paired with a very human seeming robot partner, ala the movie "Alien Nation". The changing relationship between them is the heart of this story, and the beginning of robot stories to come.
