THE GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY
Grizzly bears, granite boulders a hundred feet wide, cascading waterfalls and a wild car chase around twisting mountain roads are only a few of the perils awaiting you as you complete your mission...
Cryptic messages, such as, "The star of poverty shines on the enlightened, who flee the darkness of cultured night" may be your only guide...
Your mission will be determined by the agent before you. He or she will provide a task that you must complete, come hell or high water, be you seeking a lost doll, an obscure candy bar, or a missing gypsy taxidermist. You are required to attempt to perform what you are instructed, thoroughly and completely. Do not half-ass this; give it your all. Life or death may depend on it!
As you work through your mission to the best of your ability or when you complete it, debrief us. Provide a written report of what you did and how it went about, and back it up with any physical evidence that you can! After your mission, devise the mission for the next agent, and send it on.
It is time for action! |

lilylizard (USA: CT) (2007/05/15): i haven't mooched this journal yet...but what a fantasic idea...this is gonna be fun!!!
k00kaburra (USA: CA) (2008/01/08): My multiple attempts to contact kakiphony so I suspect the book is dead with her.I am posting a second copy, which will hopefully have more luck than the first one did. The new journal is quite lovely and was handmade by Redux4U. Check out her site - she makes some of the sturdiest, nicest journals I've ever used while recycling old books!
Debi (USA: UT) (2008/02/07): This was the hardest, and oh so fun to do. Using my brain is very hard on me. LOL Mission #1 looked like a lot of fun. I had Mission #2 and it took some thinking, and my poor brain can attest to that! Have fun with Mission #3! I had a hoot putting it together, and I hope you have fun figuring it out. - Debi Hoggan
Teresa (USA: AL) (2008/04/05): I was supposed to complete mission 3, but I failed. Agent Deanna was unable to complete the mission as well, and she passed it on to me. I am now going to pass it on to the next Secret Agent. I wish them luck! Perhaps I mooch this one again later on and see if I am able to complete another mission!
deanna (USA: PA) (2008/04/24): I got the golden opportunity back. This time I was able to finish the mission. It was lots of fun.Good luck to all the agents out there.
Alicia (USA: GA) (2008/05/26): Get more information, including images of the journals, at the BookMooch Journals site. Go directly to this journal's entry here.
