Product Description
This amazing edition of Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by Sir James Matthew Barrie was published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1906 and features 50 single-sided illustrations by Arthur Rackham which are tipped in or lightly pasted onto heavy stock paper. Each illustration has a tissue guard with a quote from the book. This lovely book is oversized and features large print. All but one of the Illustrations are grouped at the back of the book with one of the illustrations on the frontispiece. (the book has 125 numbered pages + 50 cardstock pages). This first edition features the history of Peter Pan and tells the story of how Peter left his family as an infant and became the friend of fairies at Kensington Gardens where he learned how to fly. This is an amazing edition filled many full-color illustrations by a wonderful illustrator and a well-loved children's author and would make an excellent addition to any book collectors library.
