Memorization has fallen out of favor, despite the proven benefit of installing a "database...of reliably correct and sophisticated language patterns." The mastery system is employed to help retain memorization of works, with poems recited every day until they are perfected and afterwards to prevent memory losses. Poems are included in level of difficulty to memorize, and students will work their way up to memorizing increasingly complicated pieces. Poems are included and arranged by level in the workbook. The CD set includes 3 audio CDs with all poems read by Andrew Pudewa, and is designed to help students memorize the poems quickly and accurately.
