A pharmacist by trade, Endre Szalay worked for various pharmaceutical firms in quality control, but on his free time, he explored an idea that stemmed from his youngest days when he studied biochemistry at the University of Szeged in Austria. Mr. Szalay believed that synthetically created vitamins and minerals could somehow be brought back to their natural form and get closer to the nutritive power found in real food. He quit a high position to start a company devoted to creating nutrients in the form of food. After years of painstaking and patient research, Mr. Szalay "cracked" the Vitamin Code and developed the first raw food created vitamins and minerals.
