River hill from 1789, when Anthony Considine, a horse thief, came to the Vale of Honey, to 1877 and Denis, his great grandson. The book relates the family history in Ireland of the times, with brief insights when family members travel to London, America and Holland etc.. It is in the mould of family histories like the Forsyth Saga, but on a smaller scale and with more concerns for the particular fortunes of the original Anthony's namesake granson and his eldest son.
