angie (USA: PA) (2009/03/11): This book is the real deal. Told though several narrators, I found the shifting of perspective engaging. If you've read The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood you'll know the characters, but this book has a very different tone. Consider it the dark underbelly of the Ya-Ya's. I personally found this book more real and compelling. If you're a fan of the Ya-Ya's and their flamboyant ways, I suspect you'll have to rethink that position after reading the real secrets held by some of these character. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes Southern literature with a darker twist.
