Product Description
Phacomatosis is a baffling congenital complex disease which involves cutaneous and nervous systems and other organs either simultaneously or consecutively, and frequently develops neoplastic lesions. This book focuses on this condition, using the results of a 1996 symposium, "Phcomatosis-Epidemiology, Clinical Picture and Molecular Biology", under the auspices of the Japanese Cancer Association. The goal of this symposium was to summarize the epidemiology of these diseases in Japan, and to analyze clinical features in relation to possible treatment and pathogenesis, to clarify the molecular epidemiology and molecular based-pathogenesis. The book seeks to provide this information for readers of various fields related to phacomatosis and cancer research and serve as an international reference source in these fields.
