Bohuslav von Lobkowicz auf Hassenstein 1462–1510), a Bohe­mian scholar and poet of aristocratic origins, wrote numerous works in brilliant Latin. The third and last part, now published in the Bibliotheca Teubneriana, this collection of poems, was always considered to be the best part of Hassenstein's literary estate. Among those for whom Hassenstein's poems were written, were many leading individuals and scholars from central Europe.
