This journal is designed to be used as a daily devotion for the forty days preceding Easter. To make the most of this journey, it is important to follow the journal in the order it was written. The majority of the journal focuses on the last week of Jesus' life, between Palm Sunday and Easter. This is called "Passion Week" because the events of this week show the extent of God's strong desire to save us. This journal integrates all of the Gospel accounts and follows the events of Jesus' life chronologically. Each day has a suggested text to read and a focus verse. Be sure to read the entire text from your Bible. The reading will set the stage for the events of each day. You can review the events of each week by using the summary at the top of each page. Attempt to place yourself in the sandals of the characters - Mary,Judas,Pilate,Peter,and the others.We have the same attitudes and fears as these people in Jesus' life.
