Product Description
Dorothy Wordsworth (1771-1855) devoted her life to her brother, William, and his family. She worked, travelled and studied with Wordsworth and his circle, which included De Quincey and Coleridge. She published nothing in her own lifetime, save the short extracts from her journals and letters which her brother included in his "Guide to the Lakes". This book has selections from Dorothy Wordsworth's journals. Her writings range from domestic observations of the Wordsworth family life to vivid accounts of travel in the Lake District, Scotland and Europe. These writings may appeal to those with an interest in literature, travel writing, journals and autobiography.
