Simon Greaves (United Kingdom) (2019/08/24): When East, a low-level teenage lookout for a Los Angeles drug organisation, loses his watch house in a police raid, his boss recruits him for a very different job: a road trip - straight down the middle of white, rural America - to assassinate a judge in Wisconsin. After their time in Wisconsin the remaining members of the team flee and hide their tracks in order to escape capture. Eventually they are separated. East could return straight to LA but instead goes east to break his trail... The group have differing skills and motivations which lead to tense relationships and conversation. Action and dialogue had me well gripped even if the voices didn't quite ring authentically. Whilst fleeing a shocking event occurs to one of the team which was explained rather feebly and the last third of the tale seems to be losing its way. However, the end pulls it back, tying it up. East has to find a new life and position after losing his watch and ultimately does he succeed? 7/10
