Lorenza and Mateo feel lost in their own history. In searching for Ramon while reconstructing the fragments that make up their past, these two characters, at times close partners, at times opponents, return to Buenos Aires. Scouring the city, Lorenza talks to Mateo about the life she and Ramon led during the dictatorship. Quieting the pain, fear and loss, the mother tones down the words while her teenage son inquires and questions everything. Both subject to the daily task of discovering, through conversations, how they ve reached this point of no return where she must write the story and he must find his father. Lorenza y Mateo se sienten perdidos en su propia historia. El aun no entiende por que su padre Ramon, un argentino militante de la resistencia contra la dictadura de Videla decide desaparecer un dia sin dejar rastro. Ella nunca ha sido capaz de explicarle a su hijo las razones por las que su padre se convirtio de repente en una amenaza. En busca de Ramon y tratando de reconstruir los fragmentos que componen su pasado, estos dos personajes, que a veces se acercan y a veces se alejan como antagonistas, vuelven a Buenos Aires y recorren la ciudad mientras Lorenza le cuenta a Mateo la vida que ella y Ramon llevaron durante la dictadura. Para acallar el dolor, el miedo y la perdida, la madre amansa pacientemente las palabras mientras el hijo adolescente pregunta y cuestiona. Los dos se someten a la tarea cotidiana de descubrir a traves de la conversacion por que y como han llegado a este punto que al parecer tiene una unica salida: que ella escriba esta historia y que el encuentre a su padre. Esta es una novela sobre la revelacio y la caida de los heroes que habitan las luchas pulicas y las privadas, sobre las relaciones entre padres e hijos, sobre un amor y una utopi, que irremediablemente encuentran su fin.
