If one has previously read "Ishmael" or "The Story of B" then this one can be skipped and not bothered for the effort.I found it to be poorly written, the characters quite simple and the plot line being a thin, easy to follow thread. The idea behind the book - that we're all living a lie and need to "wake up" and see reality from a new paradigm - is the same theme recurrent in Quinn's other works. The only difference is that this is an analogy; there are no references to the Bible or Torah. I highly recommend reading a few of Quinn's books because the paradigm shift is utterly amazing, and I deeply agree with his beliefs. As a statement and idea, the book is wonderful and powerful. As a book, it's quite a shabby read.
