The heroine is a down-on-her-luck singer who is asking for a job as a bartender. Since the bar that he owns serves paranormals as well as humans, he refuses to give her the job without 'marking' her. They both have intimacy and control issues, vampire politics intrudes, love ensues... Nice read-once.
