Reviews: Cynthia Welsh (USA: AZ) (2009/08/17):
White waiting for a print copy of this book to become available on bookmooch.com, I borrowed the audio book from my city library. I didn't get beyond the first CD. At first the book was amusing but then it seemed to be repeating the same idea over and over---I felt I could make better use of my time. This was a disappointment because the reviews had me excited to read the book.

Joyce Fischer (USA: IL) (2009/12/25):
This story has been compared to Richard Wright's Native Son. It follows the life of a young poverty stricken Indian boy who has no prospects until luck allows him to learn to drive a car. He becomes a chauffeur and his journey to wealth and power of his own changes him from an untouchable to a man who comes into his own power and wealth through opportunistic means. But struggle and in the end his own success has a terrible price.

Moparkat (USA: WA) (2010/06/15):
I don't normally go for these types of books but found it interesting enough to keep me ready it. I have to thank the person who left it on the airplane and I was lucky to find it in the seat back pocket.
The story is of Balram (the main character) writing letters to a Chinese Embassator about what India is really like. Written from the "somewhat" fictional view of the poverty stricken areas and how he became an entrepenuer. An interesting look at what it might be like there.
