Cheryl Fox (USA: VA) (2009/07/05): Just finished this book and am debating what to say about it. I enjoyed the first Dance book and was really looking forward to this one. However, at this point, I am just tired of it and was glad to finish it - even considered not doing so. There was so much going on in this book - Dance's relationship with a fellow detective, her mother's arrest for mercy killing, blog activity and associated deaths, internet gaming. political interferemce amd pandering -that's just for starters. I enjoy complexity in thrillers but I lost interest (or was overwhelmed?) at times. I think a good editor could have streamlined this book in such a way as to keep you on the edge of your seat; perhaps Jeffey Deaver's celebrity got in the way of that effort.
Jan (USA: TX) (2011/02/20): I really, really enjoyed this one. Complexity (Deaver's way) makes for a great read.
