Product Description
This Audio Book, is a live performance by Nita Moyer, contains more than 10 hours of unabridged audio of the original text plainly spoken for young readers. The book can be played on all MP3 players, Most newer CD/DVD players, Mobile audio devices, PDAs, Pocket PCs and PC CD/DVD-ROMs. Tales from Shakespeare was written by Charles and Mary Lamb. Mary Lamb was asked to write these tales, with the help of her brother in 1806. These siblings produced 20 stories from the plays of William Shakespeare by the end of 1806. Mary wrote The Tempest, Winter's Tale, Midsummer Night, Much Ado About Nothing, Two Gentlemen of Verona, and Cymbeline. Charles wrote Othello and MacBeth. The CD contains 19 of the 20 plays found in the original publication. This reading includes those found in the Ginn & Company publication of 1885; "Measure for Measure" was excluded from this publication to insure its appeal to a late Victorian audience.
