As someone who engages in my own life with art and crafts, I very much enjoyed reading about the life of people surrounding the very well known artist Vermeer. The tapestry that is woven by the adept writer was more satisfying somehow, to me, than just watching the movie which was also quite lovely!
I do recommend this book, a tale of an age long ago, and relationship(s) study of sorts.
