Reviews: Lou B (USA: NV) (2008/09/05):
This book tells the story of Colonel Bradford a man in his 70s visiting a monastery and learning this exercize regimen.

[Colonel Bradford is possibly a literary device in order to tell the story. Book Format: Uses an easy to follow story to keep attention and introduce the exercises.]

The information contained in this book may not be a secret anymore, but none of it was well publicized 20 years ago. The "rites" described in the book work, and you get a big plus in the rather entertaining adventure the book is based on. The story is sweet (however wastes many pages) and the Rites are good, basic yoga. The exercises are simple and do detox your system. It's yoga, not magic, make no mistake. After doing the five Rites (21 times each) for a few weeks, quite possibly you'll feel good; about as good as you can feel doing light yoga. But you are not going to loose a lot of weight. Bald men are not going to grow hair. And you are not going to look half your age.

Now the five exercizes described in this book will give you an incredible workout in less than 10 minutes a day.

Physical exercizes that raises the heart rate will more effecively pump the blood to distribute oxygen and nutrition to your cells, and give you several benefits. A more youthful appearance is only one of the benefits.

This way of living/moving involves so much more than just exercise...it balances all of your internal systems. (hormonal, metabollic, etc.) A natural foods plant-based diet and food combining are key in your physical well being and happiness.

Silver Lining: For those of us in reasonable shape, who do not have one of the precluding conditions listed in the books appendix, this may be a good short workout to incorporate into the day. Do them as described, very carefully and slowly in the beginning. Anyone who can charm the idle off of their duffs and into action gets my vote.

(disclaimer-some of the above statements were taken from other's comments/reviews of the book at amazon.com site..'cause they sounded good and fit my impressions of the book)

enjoy
