Shadow Of A Doubt juxtaposes the overt satire of 'The Speewah Ballad' against the AIDS-related metaphors of 'Ascent'; the ameliorative hopes of 'Prometheus' contrast with the violence and acerbity that characterise much of S.S. Snakebite. About the Author Australian poet and author Peter Nicholson was born in 1950 in Waverley, New South Wales, growing up in the Sydney suburbs of Woollahra and Epping. He was educated at Armidale Teachers College and Macquarie University from which he graduated in 1978. Such Sweet Thunder is his second book of poetry.
