This volume comprises the publication of two major Sixth Dynasty mastabas in the Giza Eastern Cemetery. The tomb complexes of Qar (G7101) and Idu (G7102) were first excavated by Reisner in 1924-5, and later by the Pennsylvania-Yale Archaeological Expedition and Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 1974.
