I bought this book because of the cover and the description of the back. I love "B" monster movies and this sounded a lot like one. I was right and it was really fun to read. What makes this book even better is the fact that the story is told from the voice of a random old guy living on a mountain watching as the world floods aroung him--which is the basic voice of most "B" movies, the random small town, the small group of survivors trying to make it without losing their humanity, the random survivalist in the woods type of thing. I think this is an excellent cult monster book.
