Doris Ann (USA: MD) (2009/05/31): A lovely, useful book for learning how to better communicate with one another. We seldom hear all that is said to us, and this book points out why....and how to overcome it. It is true, as an RN and counselor myself, I learned and experienced how important it is to each and every human being to be heard--- which also involves feeling important and validated. Not one of us is born knowing how to communicate well---it is a learned trait. If you feel you need to be heard; if you feel you want to listen better to those you love and care about; if you feel you have relationships that could be enhanced by better communication, this book has much to offer you. Due to my love of words, my love of people, and the compassion and care that goes into nursing---this book has been valuable to me. However, I know there are others of you out there who care just as I have---and would find some surprising facts as well as suggestions in this easy to read paperback!
