Childhood friends who were separated by the Vietnam War, Geoff and Sarah are reunited when Geoff returns from Asia after hearing of Sarah's impending marriage to another man. Old feelings are renewed, and within a few months, Sarah realizes it's Geoff who really makes her heart go "zing." The two marry, and as is true with many married couples, stresses of everyday life get in their way, and over the years Geoff and Sarah slowly drift apart. As they near their 25th wedding anniversary, they are on the brink of divorce. Yet, when the plane Geoff is on disappears, Sarah is forced to reevaluate their relationship, realizing just how much she loves her husband. Author Layne Giusto has written an outstanding story, rich in characterization and full of compassion and heartbreak. Readers are given a glimpse into the private lives of two caring people and will be glad they met Sarah and Geoff in this tale of love renewed.
