Sight: After you have read this book to your children, ask them to point out each thing in the book that is not being used the proper way. Then ask them to point out everything that is being used properly. Close the book and see if your children can find anything in your house that is not being used properly.
Sound: Tell your children that even your voice needs to be used properly. Have them listen to some silly misuses of your voice: Laugh while you tell them you lost your wallet; pretend to cry while you tell them it is such a pretty day; sweetly tell them that the milk spilled all over the floor. See if they can come up with some silly ways to use their voice.
Touch: Ask your children to help you find a book or toy that is broken or tattered. Now ask them to find an object that is in good shape. Sit
down together and try to solve the mystery: why is one broken and the other working?
