WelshHelen (United Kingdom) (2011/02/06): I really enjoyed this - great characters, especially Elena who is tough without being over the top, vulnerable without being pathetic and all-in-all, very likeable. The storyline was gripping and I found myself reading late into the night to just get one more chapter read! Parts of it were actually quite gruesome though Hoag didn't go into too much detail, thankfully :-) I didn't guess the bad guys at all and there was a realistic, unrushed ending to the book. 8 out of 10
