The life of Alan, a young thief in Nottingham, is changed forever the day he is caught stealing a pie in the Nottingham marketplace. He manages to escape his fate at the hands of Sir Ralph, the cruel sheriff, but is now an outlaw. So his desperate mother takes him to the sanctuary of Sherwood Forest - and to the band of Robin Hood.
