Reviews: Yaya Marzuki (Indonesia) (2008/07/04):
What can you in nineteen minutes? well, in nineteen minutes I can write three articles and publish them in the blogs, ready around 20 chapters of a book, buy groceries and other simple things in life.

In Nineteen Minutes Jodi Picoult can kill 10 people in Sterling High School, not by muscular high school student, not by nasty student who like to bully other students, but by the most nerdiest unpopular not so bright student in a high school.

Peter, who underwent bullying from the minute he stepped in kindergarten until his time in high school, woke up in one day and decided enough is enough. He went to his school carrying 2 guns determined end it all once for all.

I must say, the book really caught me in the heart. There were moments in the book that made me yelled "Oh My God!" or "What??" and crying at same time. Later after finished reading the book, I've really understood how bullying can really affect someone's life.

I know this is only a fictional novel but I put it in Parenting & Family genre because every parents must read this book to know their own children better.

5 STAR Awarded to the book ^_^

Paul (USA: NY) (2008/07/05):
I was amazed at how I got drawn into this story despite not being that interested in the topic. No surprise, the writer is a bestselling author and it's nice to see someone who deserves it so is in that position. There are plenty of bestselling authors who cannot write their way out of a paper bag but this one deserves all her praise. A page-turner.

Holli & Chris (USA: CO) (2008/07/30):
I liked this book a lot. I found myself having to think about who the characters were from time to time, as I didn't read it every day. I couldn't believe the ending. As a former high school teacher, some parts made me really mad.

Amy (USA: IN) (2009/01/30):
Amazing as usual. The author draws you right in and keeps you turning the pages. I agree with the person that said all parents must read this book. We have got to teach our children not to treat others in a way we wouldn't want tobe treated. I learned this very early and it stuck with me, we need to know what is going on with our kids but more than that we need to know our child as a person. Anyway, Great book as usual.
