ReadMyBooks (USA: MA) (2011/09/17): Poul Anderson's story is lively, witty, and memorable. A good read, packed into a slim volume.I had to keep a dictionary nearby while reading this book. The author uses a lot of archaic and even Middle English words, perhaps to emphasize how "primitive" the 14th-century Englishmen are, compared to the visiting aliens. You can gloss over the archaic words and still get the gist of the story, or you can look them up, and feel even more immersed in the time of castles and knights.
