Description: Product Description
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner, a novel that's "funny, fanciful, extremely poignant and rich with insight" (The Boston Globe).

For twenty-eight years, things have been tripping along nicely for Cannie Shapiro. Sure, her mother has come charging out of the closet, and her father has long since dropped out of her world. But she loves her friends, her rat terrier, Nifkin, and her job as pop culture reporter for The Philadelphia Examiner. She's even made a tenuous peace with her plus-size body.

But the day she opens up a national women's magazine and sees the words "Loving a Larger Woman" above her ex-boyfriend's byline, Cannie is plunged into misery...and the most amazing year of her life. From Philadelphia to Hollywood and back home again, she charts a new course for herself: mourning her losses, facing her past, and figuring out who she is and who she can become.
Reviews: Bon Mot (USA: VA) (2008/01/13):
I just finished this book and liked it a lot. Extremely well written for the writers first attempt. The story is multi-faceted, characters are well defined and the story is very readable.

Diane P (USA: NC) (2008/08/11):
This was a cute book. I didn't enjoy it as much as I liked "In Her Shoes," but it was an interesting story and definitely kept me entertained! Great beach read :-)

Samantha (USA: PA) (2008/10/19):
I liked this book very much and its my favorite of hers so far. I just read the sequel to it, Certain Girls, and recommend it to anyone who likes Weiner's writing.

Billie (USA: NC) (2009/01/13):
i enjoyed this story.

Kat (USA: IL) (2009/02/21):
Very cute story. A couple phrases just absolutely cracked me up!!! But Jennifer Weiner writes in a manner that makes it easy to identify with her character.

allikat (Canada) (2010/04/17):
Loved this book, Easy read, You want the heroine to succeed. The picture on the back of the book is not a rat terrier though, It is an Australian cattle dog!!

aweezy (USA: MN) (2011/01/27):
I liked it, but I didn't love it. There was enough of a plot to keep me moving through to see what happens next.
