I heard this book being vilified by Glenn Beck so decided to get it. I read it in one sitting, which is rare for me. It's actually not that radical in a leftist/revolutionary sense - Alinsky's ideology could be described as holding the power elite accountable to their own professed democratic principles. The subtitle is "a pragmatic primer for realistic radicals" and that's exactly right. Alinsky is not a theoretician, he is an enlightened technician with impeccable wisdom to impart on how to take down enemies of the people in our image saturated age.
